VanHandel & Imhoff Engagement Session

Monday, June 23rd, 2008

I had the pleasure of photographing these two the other evening. We did some things at Lawrence University and then walked downtown Appleton.

I love finding different backgrounds that have different textures and patterns.

I love this green door and the look on her face is just priceless. We had a blast doing these photos.

I always like my couple to do a few kissing shots. It lets me know if they have to do any homework with their kissing before the wedding

Wedding June 14th

I am a little behind in posting. We were planning a graduation party for my daughter and you would swear we were having a wedding! Here a some photos from my June 14th wedding. The wedding took place just outside of Sturgeon Bay. It was a beautiful day though a little windy. The bride and groom live in the Netherlands where the groom is from. I had a great time at there celebration

I started at the house where the guys were getting ready. It was a farm house out in the country. The location was beautiful. Here is the groom before the wedding.

After visiting with the guys it was a 5 minute ride to the church. Here is a great detail shot with the flowers and shoes.

and a few of the guests.

This was the first time in 18 years I was asked and more importantly allowed to come up on to the alter during the ceremony. I love the way you can see the guests look on.

After the ceremony the couple had this gorgeous old ford to take them back to the farm house and then to the reception.

Back at the house it was champagne and photos.

Then off to the reception

The reception was at the Sturgeon Bay Yacht Club. the club over looks the water which makes for a great background.

Wedding June 7th, Appleton

Here are a few pics from Saturday’s wedding.  We had a great time and we all just loved the bazallion degree day with the 180% humidity we had.  Well it wasn’t that hot but you would swear it was August weather.

The Bride was absolutely stunning in her gown and was just glowing all day.

By the time we got to the park, the rain was holding off and the temperature started to drop.  The wind had really picked up but we managed to work with it so everything looked good.

Somebody new all the words to the “Barney” theme song which had me a little worried.

I love this shot.  We had the door open in the reception room and it made for this beautiful background.  You can just see how happy the couple are together.

The entertainment was provided by Sound Dimensions out of Green Bay.  I have worked with Joe an Teresa many times and they know how to make the party happen.  If you are planning a wedding I highly recommend you check them out.

Lauren Graduates

Sunday, June 8th, 2008

My oldest daughter graduated High School Thursday evening.  I can finally post a picture from the evening because I finally got my point and shoot camera back from her.

My wife and I are very proud of her.  She graduated in the top 10% of her class and will be attending Lawrence University in the fall.  We wish her the best that life has to offer her.  Love you kiddo.

I will be posting photos from Saturday’s wedding soon.  It was a great time, though a little breezy.

Wedding May 31st, Appleton

Wednesday, June 4th, 2008

I have a few photos from my Saturday wedding to share.  The couple were awesome.  They were very into each other and you can tell they were not stressed at all about anything.  It was about the two of them celebrating their day.

The bride got ready at her house which was only a few blocks from the church.

The wedding party was game for anything

The reception was at the beautiful North Shore Country Club.  We didn’t do to much damage to the course.

Bride and groom chillin before being announced for dinner

This is Uncle Carl.  They warned me about him.  He is 95 and full of life.

I had a wonderful time with this wedding.  They made everybody feel like part of the family.
